Punishment and Consequences

 The land owner will avenge his honor – 2 Chronicles 36:15-16

 God will not be robbed of His glory

 God’s plans will not be thwarted by the wickedness of men

 Sin will not go unpunished

 The Gentiles would now be recipients of God’s message of salvation

 His life and teaching are the foundation of the church

Acts 4:11-12

has now become the cornerstone.’

The Jewish leaders wanted to arrest him for using this illustration because they realized he was pointing at them—they were the wicked farmers in his story. But they were afraid to touch him because of the crowds. So they left him and went away.
