NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD TO DO

INTRODUCTION:

The omnipotence of God is a central theme in Scripture. In Mark 1:40-45, a leper approached Jesus with faith, saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus responded with compassion, healing him instantly, demonstrating that nothing is too hard for God. This sermon highlights God's limitless power to accomplish the impossible and how we can access it through faith.

1. UNDERSTANDING GOD’S POWER

a) God’s Power is Unlimited

God can do far beyond what we can ask, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

b) God is the Creator and Sustainer

He made the heavens and the earth and sustains all creation by His word (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:3).

c) God’s Power Overrules Human Limitations

What is impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27).

d) God’s Power is Manifested in Miracles

From parting the Red Sea to raising the dead, God’s power is unmatched (Exodus 14:21-22).

e) Biblical Example: Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18:9-14)

Despite their old age, God fulfilled His promise and gave them Isaac, proving that nothing is too hard for Him.

2. WHY NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD

a) God’s Nature is Omnipotence

God has all power in heaven and on earth (Jeremiah 32:27).

b) God is Faithful to His Promises

He always fulfils His word (Numbers 23:19).

c) God’s Compassion Moves Him to Act

He is a loving Father who delights in helping His children (Psalm 103:13).

d) God’s Wisdom is Infinite

His understanding and strategies surpass human comprehension (Isaiah 55:8-9).

e) Biblical Example: Lazarus Raised from the Dead (John 11:38-44)

Even after four days in the tomb, Jesus brought Lazarus back to life, showing God's power over death.

3. HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S LIMITLESS POWER

a) Believe in His Power

Faith is the key to unlocking God’s power (Mark 9:23).

b) Call Upon Him in Prayer

Prayer moves the hand of God (Jeremiah 33:3).

c) Obey His Word

Obedience aligns you with God’s will, attracting His intervention (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

d) Trust His Timing

God’s ways and timing are perfect (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

e) Biblical Example: The Leper’s Healing (Mark 1:40-45)

The leper believed in Jesus' power, approached Him in humility, and received instant healing.

4. EXAMPLES OF GOD DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE

a) Parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22)

God made a way where there seemed to be none.

b) Feeding the Five Thousand (Matthew 14:13-21)

Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish to feed thousands.

c) Healing the Woman with the Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25-34)

Her 12 years of suffering ended when she touched Jesus’ garment.

d) Delivering Paul and Silas from Prison (Acts 16:25-26)

God caused an earthquake to free them.

e) Biblical Example: The Birth of Jesus (Luke 1:26-38)

Through the virgin Mary, God brought His Son into the world, fulfilling prophecy and demonstrating His power.

5. WHAT TO DO WHEN FACING THE IMPOSSIBLE

a) Do Not Lose Faith

Keep trusting God, even in challenging times (Hebrews 11:6).

b) Speak God’s Promises Over Your Life

Declare His word with faith (Isaiah 55:11).

c) Wait Patiently for His Intervention

God acts at the right time (Psalm 27:14).

d) Praise Him in Advance

Praising God before the answer comes is an act of faith (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).

e) Biblical Example: The Walls of Jericho (Joshua 6:1-20)

The Israelites obeyed God's instructions and praised Him, leading to a miraculous victory.

CONCLUSION:

God specialises in doing the impossible, and no situation is beyond His power. From healing the leper to raising the dead, He has shown time and again that nothing is too hard for Him. When you place your faith in God, pray with expectation, and obey His word, you will experience His limitless power. Remember, the God who made a way for Noah, Abraham, Sarah, and the leper is the same God who will intervene in your life.
