My Life As a Christian
Galatians 2:20
Intro.
Living for the Lord means that we die to ourselves
and live for Him.
The phrase sounds contradictory
I’m crucified, yet I live.
When we get saved, we give die to ourselves.
“Crucified with Christ”
Ye, when Jesus rose from the dead, He gave us new life - eternal life.
Now, he lives in me through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
This is what we mean when we say “Ask Jesus into your heart”.
Your live is no longer about you, but about Him.
Not looking to please ourselves, but about pleasing and glorifying the Lord.
Therefore my Christian life should reflect four things.
I. Walking with Him
A. He is a constant companion.
1. He is always with me.
Matt. 28:20b …and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
2. He never leaves me alone
Heb. 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things
as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
B. A Constant Conversation.
1. I talk to Him
a. Prayer is more than asking for stuff
b. Prayer should be a conversation.
c. It doesn’t take a special language or place.

thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known
unto God.

our salvation.

B. Through the power of the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part
of the earth.
