Much Goods, Little Time...
Contributed by Wade Martin Hughes, Sr on May 14, 2016 (message contributor)
Summary: SELDOM IN LIFE DO WE COUNT THE COST BEFORE WE ACT. We must consider price, cost, worth and value before we act. Did Achan consider the cost of the gold and new clothes? Do we consider the cost of our choices?

MUCH GOODS, LITTLE TIME...
By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com
TEXT:
Luke 12:19 (KJV) And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years;
take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Luke 12:19 (NIV) And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years.
Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry."'
Luke 12:19 (MSG) and I'll say to myself, Self, you've done well! You've got it made and can now
retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!'
Review:
EVE NEVER COUNTED THE COST? Discord? A grave?
ACHAN never considered the price of that GOLD and fancy clothes?
MOSES was to speak to the rock? IN ANGER and frustration? COST?
GEHAZI --- servant of Elisha, picks up LEPROSY from a healing NAAMAN?
THOMAS--- COST OF MISSING...
COST? WE NEED TO EVALUATE PRICE, COST, VALUE AND WORTH...
I read about a WEALTHY man in California that loved to eat MUSHROOMS.
He hated to pay the big price to buy MUSHROOMS.
So, TO SAVE MONEY, he decided to HUNT for his own.
He found a large area filled with MUSHROOMS ...
HE PICKED THEM AND WASHED THEM AND AND COOKED THEM.
The MUSHROOMS smelled so good as he was cooking them.
He sat down at the table and ate his fill.
The next thing you know he was laying in the floor in great pain.
He tried to reach his phone, but he was PARALYZED...
In less than a half an hour HE WAS DEAD...
THE COST? HE SAVED MONEY AND COST HIM HIS LIFE?
WE OFTEN UNDERSATND PRICE ---
AND REFUSE TO UNDERSTAND WORTH? COST?
Price is the quantity of labor which its possessor will take in exchange for it.
Nothing is WORTH more than what the purchaser will pay for it?
VALUE MAN DEPEND ON THE HANDS ---
TAKE THE VAULE OF A DANELION ---
VS. THE HANDS OF THE CHILD THAT GAVETHE FLOWER TO YOU...
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Or what shall a man GIVE IN EXCHANGE for HIS OWN soul?
WISE PEOPLE MUST LEARN AN IMPORTANT LESSON TO THRIVE IN LIFE...
TERMS WE MUST UNDERSTAND:
PRICE : The amount of money you pay for something...
What you give up to get something...
COST: The out lay you pay to achieve
WORTH: The usefulness
VALUE: How important is it? Fair worth?
The price of college may be $20,000 a year.
But the cost of the degree is much more than money...
The worth can have life long dividends...
Ever heard about the old man that put his fiddle in the auction.
The first bid was $2.50. The second bid was $5.00. His fiddle then was $20.00.
The old man stood up and tuned the fiddle and began playing a masterpiece.
The story goes he laid down the fiddle with tears in his eyes...
The next bid was $1,000, then $5,000 and it sold for $25,000...
WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN $5.00 AND $25,000?
WAS IT NOT THE TOUCH OF THE MASTER?
A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan’s hands is worth about $33 million.
WHY? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

It depends whose hands it’s in.

It depends whose hands it’s in.

It depends whose hands it’s in.
As you see now it depends whose hands it’s in.
