Locked Up, But Coming Out

Galatians 3:22-23 NIV

IT’S LOCKED UP, BUT IT’S COMING OUT

I. Locked Up In Trails (Peter – “think it not strange concerning the fiery trials”)

A. Disappointment – distress – rebellion – overwhelming sorrow - loneliness

B. Death of the thing we love…person, finances, opportunity, idea

C. Challenges – sin – addictions – helplessness - Hopelessness

“The power of the gospel can only be fully exhibited when a Christian is subjected to some great trial”

II. Locked Up In Doubt

A. Been in the storm so long – waiting on God – (Microwave world – crock pot God)

C. Tempted to give up……or lower our expectations – don’t give up on God…

Isaiah 64:4 “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait on Him.”

III. Locked Up Until Faith (hearing, believing and doing)

A. Faith accepts difficulty with an “Attitude of Gratitude”

B. Know (faith) that God will – send you blessings/send you help/reveal the truth

C. God causes blessings to be locked up until faith…

1. Moses locked in the desert - attempting to deliver Israel in his own strength..

2. Paul and Silas were locked up in prison until faith…

3. The nation of Israel was locked up in the wilderness for 40 years until faith…

4. Isaac was locked up in Abraham until faith… (ILUBICO)

5. Israel was locked up between the Red Sea and a charging army until faith…

6 Jericho was locked up until faith…

7. I was locked up in sin… until faith…(ILUBICO)

D. Faith honors God and God honors faith - Faith turns a promise into a prophecy

E. By faith I will be made whole…… receive my supernatural breakthrough
