I FEEL A SERMON: THE CRUCIBLE.

*I FEEL A SERMON (UNKNOWN)

I STAND AT NIGHT, AMID THE CITY’S THE THRONGS; AND I SCAN THE FACES THAT PASS ALONG.

AND I READ A HISTORY OF WOE, AND OF WANT AND OF GRIEF. AND MY HEART GOES FURTHER THAN MY HAND CAN REACH. AND I FEEL A SERMON I COULD NEVER PREACH!

THE JEWISH TALMUD SUGGESTS:

Moses gave 613 laws and commands. David reduces to 10 commands.

Isaiah comes along and reduces the laws and commands to two.

JESUS SAID TWO: LOVE THE LORD YOU GOD WITH ALL --- LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.

Habakkuk sums the law to one: THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.

THERE GROWS RAMPANTLY A JEZEBEL SPIRIT IN THE WORLD. HOW DOES THERE GROW A REJECTION OF GOD? THERE WAS A WOMAN NAMED JEZEBEL. SHE HATED GOD’S MESSAGE. THIS HATRED LEAD HER TO DESPISE AND REJECT AND DESTROY TRUTH.

JEZEBEL PERSECUTED GOD AND GOD’S MEN. IDOLATRY. Jezebel supported 450 false worshipers. Jezebel loved BAAL and ASHERAH.

THE CHURCH’S TEACHING AND THE END PRODUCT WAS A TOTAL REJECTION OF THE MAN OF GOD. JEZEBEL MADE A VOW TO DESTROY AND KILL THE PREACHER.OF THE PREACHER THERE IS A GRADUAL DOWNWARD TRAIL OF SIN THAT WILL LEAD TO TOTAL DESTRUCTION.

The progression of sin will always try to discredit the man of God and the word of God. Our enemy will try to make God’s rules and word look mean and aimless. The last stab of the enemy is to get humanity to DISOBEY GOD’S WORD and separate man from God, God from man and turn MAN AGAINST GOD. Do we understand the truth: SUBMIT YOUR SELF TO GOD, then resist the devil and he will flee.

1 Kings 21:7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

1 Kings 21:25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.

JEZEBEL WILLFULLY MADE THE CHOICES OF SIN’S TRAIL. JEZEBEL WAS NOT A NICE PERSON. SHE WAS MEAN. SHE WAS FULL OF IDOLATRY, ANGER AND REVENGE. JEZEBEL DID NOT JUST WAKE UP ON A DOWNWARD TRAIL. SEE MADE CHOICES AND NABBOTH WAS IN HER TARGET. SEE 10 CHOICES JEZEBEL GRADUALLY DRIFTED INTO.

*1. ANGER: to loss self-control, violence, frustration, rage, potential source of sin, destructive, reaction to a distraction, negative that you have been done wrong, emotion strong feeling of hostility, displeasure, annoyance;

*2. CONTROL: to exert pressure to take over thoughts, emotions, dictate. take choices to your advantage, to take power

Deceptive to your benefit to

*3. FOCUS ON DEMAND PERFORMANCE: (PERFECTIONIST OF OTHERS), looking to control, setting impossible high standards, stress, anxiety, the enemy of better, perfection hinders progress.

*4. MANIPULATION: other trying to take control, to take advantage of others, ,others to use deceptive, unfair tactics to control others, to influence to gain control.to make others to feel guilty, aggressive to control another, to cause others to doubt self, low self-esteem.

*5. DISAPPOINTMENT: displeasure caused by nonfulfillment of expectations, feeling failure, unhappy, discourage, point out falling short, crushed, broken.

*6. BITTERNESS, OFFENDED: resentment, unfair, unfair, anger, resentment, negative, upset, annoyed, hurt, upset, disrespectful, offence is a choice.

*7. REFUSE AN IDEA, ALIENATION, SEPARATION: isolation, withdraw, disconnected, DETACHED,DIVIDED,

*8. REJECTION: MY WAY OF THE HIGHWAY, REFUSE TO ACCEPT, no approval, lonely, to feel no value, denial,

DIVISON, ALIENATION

*9. INDEPENDENT--- REBELLIOUS SPIRIT: I don’t need you, free from control, my way, refuse to listen, self-control, to challenge all authority, disobey rules, opposition, stubborn, and resist others, conflict.

*10. HATRED, DESPISE: This stage no longer hides in dark corners, Dislike, ill will, intense negative emotion, issues of power-control.

WE MUST OPEN THE DOOR TO GOD’S PLAN: TAKE THE WHOLE… THE POWER TO RESIST IS IN OUR WILLINGNESS THE POWER OF SUBMISSION.

The worst day with Jesus is better than the best day with the flesh and the devil. We must avoid the spiral down to destruction.

2 Kings 9:10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

JEHU WAS ANOINTED TO BRING CORRECTION. JEZEBEL FATE WAS A RESULTS OF HER OWN CHOICES.

2 Kings 9:30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window. 31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master? 32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs. 33 And he said, Throw her down.
