John 6:37ESV

Everything that Thomas Goodwin and John Owen were—well educated, analytical, at home in the worlds best universities—

John Bunyan wasn't. Bunyan was poor and uneducated. By the world standards, everything was against Bunyan making a lasting impact on human history.

And this is just how the Lord delights to work, taking the sidelined and the overlooked and giving them quietly-pivotal-roles in the unfolding of redemptive history.

Bunyan is most famous for the Pilgrims Progress, which is, besides the Bible, history's best selling book. He also authored 57 other books one of the loveliest is, Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ, written in 1678.

Bunyan took a single verse and wrote a whole book on it, reflecting on it at length. The verse for Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ, written in 1678.

John 6:37ESV All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

KJV—No wise…

When I hear the words of Jesus, my interest ought to perk-up. Notice the word, all.

Again, John 6:37AMP All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me].

Look once more, Jesus say’s, All…not most. Bunyan writes, Once the Father sets his loving gaze on a wandering sinner, that sinners rescue is certain.

In John 6, Jesus proclaims He’s all the bread and water anyone would ever need.

Howard’s interpretation—When I seek God and go after Him, He promises to provide for everything that is inferior to Him. Earthly.

Jesus stated in, Matthew 6:33TPT “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.

Again, Jesus promises to provide for the inferior. The earthly. The less important.

British preacher Charles Spurgeon 1834-1892 loved to tell about his grandfather, a minister, who was very poor. The one cow he owned had died, and his 10 children were without milk. His wife asked, “what will we do now?’ ‘I cannot tell,’ he said, “but I know what God will do. We must have milk for the children, and He will provide for us. The next morning a man brought Spurgeon's grandfather a gift of 20 pounds from the ministers relief fund, even though help had not been requested. A few days before, the relief committee had divided the funds for distribution and an amount of 5 pounds was left over. One of the members said, “There is poor Mr. Spurgeon down the road, Suppose we send it to him.” Another man said, Make it 15 pounds. Another man added five more pounds. Those men knew nothing about Spurgeon’s cow, but God knew.

In John 10:10, Jesus promises abundant life—greater than the norm, over and above the ordinary. Excellent, lovely, praiseworthy, and everlasting, A good report.

Once more, Jesus states in John 6:37b…He will in no wise cast out—never reject!

Jesus sees the big picture—The apostle Paul gives us that big picture about your life, just listen. Ephesians 2:10TPT We have become His poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!

If you’re a believer—God’s plan will be fulfilled in your life.

Again, John 6, Vs. 37. I will in no wise cast out.

You Say—But I am a great sinner, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I am an old sinner, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I am a hard-hearted sinner, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I am a backsliding sinner say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I have served Satan all my days, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. Well I have sinned against Light, Say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I have sinned against mercy, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ. But I have no good thing to bring with me, say you. I will in no wise cast out, says Christ.

This promise given by Jesus was provided to answer all objections, and it does.

Get this in your spirit—When we have the audacity to think that Jesus can't forgive your sins, whatever they may be, We say, but…but…..He say’s, “I will in no wise cast out!”

Jesus says come to me. I will embrace you into my deepest being and never let you go.
