Today I’m going to talk about “Halloween:

1st Thess. 5:22 22Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Someone may be asking; why is Brother Brown wasting his time talking about “Halloween?

Well did you every really have someone explain the origins of this so-called holiday? People in our country are all caught up in this so-called holiday; not realizing it’s of the Devil himself.

I want you to listen and then ask your self if you really think you should allow your children to participate in such ungodly activity.

Tom Sanguinet, former high priest in the Celtic tradition of Wicca (witchcraft) said "The modern holiday we call Halloween has its origins in the full moon closest to November 1, the witches’ New Year. It was a time when the "spirits" (demons) were supposed to be at their peak power” He went on to say, "Halloween is purely and absolutely evil, and there is nothing we ever have or will do that would make it acceptable to the Lord Jesus."

How did it come about to start with? Allow me to pass this information on to you;

The origin of Halloween is the Celtic Festival of Samhain, lord of death and evil spirits.

Long before Christ (at least 2000 years), Druids in Britain, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany and other Celtic countries observed the end of summer by making sacrifices to Samhain.

The Celtics considered November 1st as being the day of death because the leaves were falling, it was getting darker sooner and temperatures were dropping.

They believed Muck Olla, their sun god was losing strength and Samhain, lord of death, was overpowering him.

They *[the Celtics} also believed that on October 31st Samhain lord of death assembled the spirits of all who had died during the previous year.

And they also believed that their spirits had been confined to inhabit animals’ bodies for the past year, as punishment for their evil deeds, and that they were allowed to return to their former home to visit the living on the eve (Oct. 31) of the Feast of Samhain.

Druid priests led the people in diabolical worship ceremonies in which horses, cats, black sheep, oxen, human beings and other offerings were rounded up, stuffed into wicker cages and burned to death.

This was done, they, the Celtics believed to appease Samhain and keep spirits from harming them.

HALLOWEEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CELEBRATION OF DEATH.

Let me say right here that most folks today have not a clue as to where and how Halloween come into existence, and they see absolutely nothing at all harmful about it, people today don’t take Halloween serious at all.

But let me say that we can be assured that the witches and Satan worshippers of today take it very serious.

Did you know that there are women that are tied up in these satanic cults that have babies for the sole purpose of offering it to the devil on this Halloween night?

_There’s no medical record of the little baby every being born, Halloween is the high holiday of the year for satanic cults.--

All of our public stores are selling products that glorify this evil time of year whether knowing it are not.

Do you dear heart truly think that God is pleased with this evil activity?

Well back in the time of the Celtic people when this was getting a good toehold so to speak, how were these sacrifices obtained?

Druid priests and people would go from house to house asking for calves, black sheep, and even human beings.

Those who gave were promised prosperity and those who refused to give were cursed and threatened.

The people were also told it was likely that all of the "wandering spirits" would get hungry.

If you set out a treat for them, they would not trick or curse you.

Here is THE ORIGIN OF TRICK OR TREAT.

"Trick or Treat is a reenactment of the Druidic practices. The candy has replaced the human

Sacrifices of old, but it is still an appeasement of the deceptive evil spirits,

When folks give out Halloween candy today, they are, although innocently, providing a sacrifice to false gods.

They are participating in idolatry" says the former high priest of Wicca, Tom Sanguinet.

Did you know that even the Jack-O-Lantern has its origin with these pagan practices?

In the book “Occult Conceit” the author says on page 190, "The candlelit pumpkin or skull served as a signal to mark those farms and homes that were sympathetic to the Satanists and thus deserving of mercy when the terror or, today("trick or treat") of the night began."

Further, an old edition of The World Book Encyclopedia says, "The apparently harmless lighted pumpkin face of the Jack-O-Lantern is an ancient symbol of a damned soul."

This message is absolutely on point. Churches are becoming lukewarm in these last days. Truth takes a back seat to keep the flock happy and coming back. Don't touch Halloween! Someone may say you are too old-fashioned and look for another church. Pastor's soft pedal here this a popular time of year! Sponsor a haunted house that will bring them in! In the name of keeping the attendance up and good offerings coming in. Many churches become entangled with the unfruitful works of darkness. "Come out from among them and I will receive you unto myself." Pastors if you fail to stand up for Jesus you will fall for anything! Trust me Satan is "an Angel of Light, "Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
