Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas

Sermons

Summary: God has great things in store if we would just believe and open our eyes and hearts to receive them from Him.

Fresh Anointing

Forget the former things; do now dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Not it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

 We are in a time where God is setting the church up for the unveiling of His plan.

 God is wanting to line the church up for the move of His Spirit in our day.

 We have a part to play in that.

1. Let Go of the Past.

a. You will never be able to enter into your tomorrow as long as you are standing in your yesterday.

b. Even the Apostle Paul refused to allow the past and the things that had already happened to him to keep him from pursuing God’s now and God’s future.

c. Read Philippians 3:13-14

d. What has happened to us can either serve as a springboard or an anchor.

2. God Has a New Thing in Mind.

a. The things that you thought would never happen are about to be; and the things that you thought would always be are about to cease.

b. The way things have been are not the way things will always be.

c. Change is coming. It isn’t a politically promised change, it is a God promised change and He is not a man that He should lie.

d. Read Romans 4:17.

3. Open Your Eyes.

a. God has not forgotten the vision that He gave to us. His plan is still to bring the fulfillment of that vision.

b. Read Habakkuk 2:2-4 -- everything is for an appointed time.

c. God is looking to remove the blinders that us kept us from seeing or continuing to see His plan.

d. God is looking to uncover and re-expose the wells that the enemy has covered over. (See Genesis 26:18).

4. See the Good in the Midst of the Bad.

a. God desires for His people to experience His blessing and favor even when times don’t seem good.

b. God is and will always be . . .

i. Water for the dry and thirsty

ii. Food for the hungry

iii. Freshness for the stale in heart

iv. Hope for the hopeless

v. Sight for the blind

vi. Courage for the fearful

vii. Strength for the weary

viii. Everything that we could ever need.
