Sermons

Summary: No One talks about the destroyer anymore, but he is fast at work. This sermon is to raise awarness of satan and his tatics, and how to defeat him.

Freedom Tools John 16:33Amp, Isaiah 59:19

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Isaiah 59:19 The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.

This word tribulation usually refers to the eschatological woes framed and spoken of in the book of Revelation. However, here Jesus is speaking unto all who live after His death, resurrection and ascension. In other words, although Jesus conquered sin and the grave, because of Adam’s transgressions satan has a lease on this earth.

Here the word for tribulation means, “stress.” It was a promise from Jesus. You will have pressure, strain, anxiety, tension and hassle in your life. No exemptions.

When satan fell from his high place of honor one third of the angels left with Him according to scripture. These angels are now fallen demonic spirits.

Ephesians 6:12NKJ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Fact: When you are going in the right direction, you will meet the enemy head-on. (These meetings aren’t random.) They have a specific diabolical purpose.

Let’s get this straight: God is good, and the devil is bad. (He hates you!) Jesus didn’t leave you with a disclaimer. He’s filled with “Sozo.”

Ephesians 4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Jesus received for every believer, that He might give to every believer. A large measure of gifts and graces; particularly the gift of the Holy Ghost.

God desires that you learn to live from the inward- out; the inner-man growing because it’s fed.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15NKJ And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Paul is being attacked from the inside- from men and women pretending to be righteous, but they were false apostles. (Satan transforms himself as an angel of light.)

Because of this: Spirit of Suicide, Spirit of Murder, Spirit of un- forgiveness, spirit of hate, spirit of fear, Spirit of lust, Spirit of pride, Spirit of alcohol, Spirit of porn addiction, Spirit of poverty, Spirit of Gluttony

Hear this statement: “You can be influenced without being owned.” (Maybe you have just rented out a room to satan, or granted him an easement)

Remember the text: In this world you will have stress and tribulation. (You begin to live in a relax mode.)

Paul teaches Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:24-26NKJ And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Hear this word: God doesn’t use- He anoints; Satan though uses and abuses- and desires puppets.

1 Timothy 4:1NKJ Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

Regardless whether you like it or not, “you will be what you feed on.”

Ephesians 4:26-27NASB BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27and do not give the devil an opportunity.

The word opportunity here means: Lost ground or territory. Going to bed with harshness, judgment, angry from a critical father etc.

We’re in the habit of using this only for our marriage, but can I tell you Paul is writing this for any given situation.

Hear this: If you keep something of the past buried within it will come back; Demons fed on a buried past!

The past (that maybe we have even pushed back in our minds) brings resentment, pain, anger, fear, offenses etc. It makes ‘one’ act out!

Remedy one: Romans 12:1-2NKJ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
