These twenty-five questions can settle the matter regarding your faith and salvation with God.

It is an answer “of a good conscience toward God,” 1 Peter 3:20-21.

1. Do you truly love the Lord? How much? -- Matthew 22:37-40

2. Is there anything you wouldn't do to obey the Lord? -- Matthew 10:34-39

3. Do you believe the bible is the "inspired word of God?" -- 2 Timothy 3:16-17

4. Do you believe that only "truth" can make you free from sins? -- John 8:31-32; Romans 6:17-18

5. Do you possess a "good and honest heart?" -- Luke 8:11-15; Acts 16:13-15

6. Is there anything that would hinder you from obeying the Lord? -- Acts 6:7; Acts 26:19

7. Do you consider yourself a Christian already? -- Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16

8. Do you claim to have had a true "religious experience?" -- What was it?

9. Do you NOW profess to have a genuine "saving faith in Jesus Christ?" -- Romans 10:9-10

10. Was confessing "faith in Christ" a part of your salvation experience? – Matthew 10:32-33

11. Do you believe baptism is necessary “for obedience to Christ? – Matthew 28:19-20

12. Did your "salvation experience" involve saying the "sinner's prayer?" -- Romans 10:16-17

13. Is the "sinner's prayer" a part of New Testament conversion? – If so, where?

14. Can you recall the exact moment in time you were saved? -- When?

15. Do you believe that sinners are "justified by faith ONLY?" What about obedience? -- James 2:22-24; Romans 5:1-2

16. Do you believe that sinners are "saved by the grace of God ONLY?" -- Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5

17. Was "faith and repentance" a part of your salvation experience?" –- Acts 20:21

18. What does Christ require of believers “in order to be saved?” -- Mark 16:15-16

19. What does God require of believers "to receive remission of sins?" -- Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16

20. Is baptism required of those "saved through the sinner's prayer?" -- What about faith only?

21. With what does Christ promise "to wash away or forgive our sins?" -- Revelation 1:4-5; Hebrews 10:22

22. When and where does Christ promise "to wash away or forgive our sins?" -- Acts 22:16; Acts 2:38

23. Is the "new birth" necessary for one to enter into the kingdom of God? -- John 3:1-5; Titus 3:5

24. Does the "new birth" include both "the water and the Spirit?" -- John 3:5; John 3:23

25. Are you “in Christ” right NOW? If so, how did you get in Him?" – Galatians 3:26-27

I presented this survey for your review and study. Do not become complacent regarding your faith in Christ. If you faith cannot stand bible examination; then, it is not worth having. Study to show thyself approved "unto God" and not unto men.

Comment: As seekers of truth, the challenge we face is not being able to conduct good research into the scriptures, but after finding them, being able to accept the truth of them in sincere faith and trust in the Word of God. Too much of our religion is built upon what we think about these matters, rather than what the scriptures teach about them. You might recall how James describes this simple truth in James 1:21-27. It is not difficult to find the truth; the difficulty lies in accepting it. Buy the truth and sell it not, Proverbs 23:23.
