DECLARE IT: THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes)

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

THE BEST IS YET TO COME! JUST DO WHATEVER JESUS SAYS TO DO…JOHN RECORDS MARY WAS INVITED TO A WEDDING IN LOWER GALILEE, IN CANA. JESUS AND HIS DISCIPLES WERE INVITED TO THIS WEDDING. JESUS GAVE HIS APPROVAL OF MARRIAGE AS ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN BY ATTENDING. THE WEDDING ON THE SURFACE APPEARED TO BE GOING GREAT.

Something was wrong. Two families will be disgraced by poor planning. Even the Governor and the elite were in attendance… SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT WOULD MAKE THE NEWLY WEDS ASHAMED. They would BE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF CANA.

John 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

SEEMS THERE WERE 6 EMPTY WATER POTS… ABOUT 120 TO 150 GALLONS OF WATER WAS NEEDED… JESUS CLEARLY STATES FILL THIS EMPTY WATER POTS. EMPTY? Get the water hoses? No. the water had to be hand carried and besides that the water pots had to be filled to the brim. Now what do we have 150 gallons of well water? How will that help this young couple?

This couple will be so embarrassed as the servants carry well water to the Governor’s table. But as MARY STATED: DO IT. Because of obedience and hard work… the DO IT brought the BEST IS YET TO COME. It appears the disgrace of running out was averted, THE BEST WAS YET TO COME.

DECLARE IT. I HAVE SOME VERSES I WANT TO SHARE AND PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER AS PERSONAL TO YOU, YOUR CHURCH AND YOUR FAMILY. WE MUST CONSIDER FILLING THE WATER POTS AND ACCEPTING GOD’S PLANS. WILL WE ACCEPT THE PROMISE LAND AS OURS?

I CLAIM THIS PROMISE IN A PERSONAL WAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY! MY CHURCH!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I CLAIM THIS PROMISE IN A PERSONAL WAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY! MY CHURCH!

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him,,,

I CLAIM THIS PROMISE IN A PERSONAL WAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. MY CHURCH!

Isaiah 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

I CLAIM THIS PROMISE IN A PERSONAL WAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. MY CHURCH.

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

DECLARE IT… I AM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL!! FETCH ME? ALL I HAVE IS A HANDFUL OF MEAL? HEY PREACHER, YOU ARE ASKING A LOT FROM ME… FIRST OFF I AM FROM ZAREPHATH…

By faith Elijah knows: THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Elijah requested a drink of water. Then ELIJAH says I am hungry, feed me… Elijah is a Jew, the widow is a Gentile? We don’t know her name, but we do KNOW THERE IS JUST A HANDFUL OF MEAL.

1 Kings 17:10 So he (Elijah) arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. 11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. 12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. 13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
