“The first day of the week” is a DAY OF MIGHTY MEMORIES — memories that we cannot let die.

1. Dawn of the 1st Day Brought Light

Genesis 1:2–5 (AV)

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

5 ….. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

Leviticus 23:10–11 (AV)

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
