TEXT:

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Matthew 22: 29

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye DO ERR NOT KNOWING THE SCRIPUTURES, NOR THE POWER OF GOD.

Prov.22:28 REMOVE NOT THE ANCIENT LANDMARK, WHICH THY FATHERS HAVE SET.

I ponder today: CHARACTER.

Prov.22:28 REMOVE NOT THE ANCIENT LANDMARK, WHICH THY FATHERS HAVE SET.

We live in a sick society. It is high time we arise and return to God’s plan. Sickly oaks from sickly acorns grow.

God focuses very much on CHARACTER. Without individual accountability we will suffer.

We want to blame our character problems on the school systems and on the church, but the real character problems arise from the lack of

CHARACTER EDUCATION WITHIN THE HOME.

Parents must repent and arise to the high standard of the Bible.

Some notes on Character:

**Character is the real me.

**Good Character will always be remembered.

**Some adopt the character of the CHAMELEON,

it changes its color as needed.

** How we receive praise shows ones real character.

**The same energy that it takes to DEVELOP a

villain’s character, could have rendered a person

useful to society

**Character is higher than intellect.

**No one can climb above the limitations OF their

character.

**Sow a thought, reap an act. Sow an act, reap a

habit. Sow a habit, reap CHARACTER.

#1 THE 10 COMMANDMENTS MUST BE THE BASES FOR ALL CHARACTER BUILDING.

( Psa. 111:10; Prov. 12:13; 1 John 5:2-3 )

We must inoculate EVERY child with VALUES AND

CHARACTER BUILDING.

Test 10 children and see if they know the Ten

Commandments?

How can our children keep what they do not know?

IT IS NOT THE LACK OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS HANGING

ON THE WALLS AT SCHOOL, IT IS THE LACK OF THE WORD

OF GOD IN OUR CHILDRENS’ HEARTS THAT IS KILLING THIS

NATION AND CAUSING WEAK CHURCHES AND SICK FAMILIES.

It is the lack of the Ten Commandments hanging in

our homes and the childrens bedrooms that is killing

this nation. It is the lack of the Word of God in

the hearts and minds of our children that make us

anemic.

Traps are set, well it can’t hurt me? It may hurt someone else, but that character problem can not hurt me?

Are you sure?

THIS IS A GOOD PARABLE WORTH SHARING WHEN WE PONDER CHARACTER.

Simple Lesson, but don’t expect everyone to get the same thing from it as you.

A rat looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package. What food might it contain? He was aghast to discover that it was a rat trap.

Retreating to the farmyard the rat proclaimed the

warning; "There is a rat trap in the house, a rat trap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said,"Excuse me, Mr. Rat, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence

to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The rat turned to the pig and told him, "There is a rat trap in the house, a rat trap in the house!"

"I am so very sorry Mr.Rat," sympathized the pig,

"but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured that you are in my prayers."

The rat turned to the cow. She said, "Like wow, Mr. Rat. A rat trap. Wow, I am in grave danger. Duh!!.

So the rat returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s rat trap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the

house, like the sound of a rat trap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught.

In the darkness, she did not see that it was

a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital. She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer

took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.

His wife’s sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer’s wife did not get well. She died, and so many people came for her funeral that the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all

of them to eat.

So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when there is a rat trap in the house, the whole farmyard is at risk.

THE WORD OF GOD DOES THE WORK OF GOD.
