Come And See

Summary: There are somethings in life where we simply can’t take the word of someone else, we must Come And See for ourselves. This message can be built upon in a number of ways.
The instruction given by Philip was very wise. There is no need for argument, nor to reason. He simply says Come And See for your self.
(A) We Must Come And See Who Christ Is!
(1) Many are indifferent to Jesus because they simply don’t know Him.
(a) They may have heard of Him, yet do not know Him.
(b) Let me tell you, His earthly ministry is unrivaled.
(2) The very depth of His teaching, His was a ministry of self sacrifice and giving.
(a) "You have heard eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, but if smitten turn the other cheek."
(b) "You have heard, "Love your neighbor, hate your enemies" Jesus said, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you do good to them that hate you, pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
(B) His Works Are Outstanding
(1) Come See Him In the Synagogue
(a) Come see Him working miracles of mercy.
(b) The woman with the Issue of Blood, Jairus’ daughter, Peter’s mother-in-law,the Gadarene demonic.
(2) Come Hear The Testimonies Of Those Who Knew Him
(A) "Never spake a man like this man." (John 7:46).
(a) He speaks with power!
(b) "What manner of man is this." (Matthew 8:27).
Jesus stills the storm, adn they declare "What manner of man is this that even the winds and waves obey."
(c) Death obeys when Jesus speaks. (John 11)
(B) Come Hear About His Relationship To Humanity
(a) "Thou Art The Christ." (Matthew 16:16).
The Anointed One.
(b) "Thou art The Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel." (John 1:49). This phrase expresses His relationship to the Father.
(c) "Truly this is the Son of God." (Matt. 27:54). Notice: it is not A, but The Son of God. He was begotten we are adopted.
(3) Come And See what Christ Has Done
(A) Look at the testimonies of great salvations.
(a) Nathanel- A true Israelite
(b) Matthew- A tax collector
(c) Zacheus- was hated
(d) The woman at the well- an adultress
(e) Nicodemus- a man of great learning.
(f) Saul- the early church persecutor- Changed to Paul
(B) Come And See What Christ Can Do For You!
(a) He can give you peace of mind, forgiveness, He offers acceptance with God.
(b) He can give you support and strength through all the trials of this life.
(c) He has promised, ’Eternal Life.’
