Who Gave The Church The Order To Stand Down?

The term "Stand Down" has been used recently in light of the Benghazi attack, it is a military term meaning a cessation of offensive actions; a cease fire; a truce. Are we guilty of "Standing Down" concerning the sins that are prevalent in our society?

When reporting on current events such as "fast and furious" and the Benghazi attack on our American Embassy, reporters are using the term "Stand Down" when asking who gave the orders to do nothing to help those in peril. Among the sins of Sodom, we find the sin of doing nothing. The question Pharoah asked in our text is a good question for us today? We answer the question is it a sin to do nothing.

What is holiness? The word HOLY used here means to be or to keep oneself pure or to sanctify yourself wholly.Let us look at four statements here in this verse that help define personal holiness.

The Bible speaks of the Eyes of the Lord looking upon His people,(2Chron.16:9). We also read of the arm of the Lord bringing strength. I want to look today at the "Mighty Outstretched Hand of God."

Leprosy is a picture of the sinful heart, it is said that some of the Jewish Rabbi’s translated the words "Unclean, Unclean" as, "Avoid, Avoid." We look at the parallel of leprosy and sin.
