Summary: Often times we find the challenge in life is looking for the easiest path. Water always seeks the path of least resistance. In God's plan we may find EASY... may not be the best. We continue with the thought: KNOCKED DOWN? GET UP!

CHALLENGE? SEARCHING FOR AN EASIER WAY?

Remember the lesson of the heat? The butter? Melts. The egg gets hard? The tea bag brings out the favor.

LIFE IS TEMPORARY AT BEST. SURE, LIFE THROWS US FOR A LOOP EVERYNOW AND THEN. THIS STORM SHALL PASS… THE DARK NIGHT HAS TO YIELD TO A NEW SUN RISE…

The lesson we must learn is: ARISE, GET UP, TRY AGAIN. Get up and head toward the Father’s house.

Have you ever stood at the edge of the ocean and watch the waves roll in? Then the waves roll out?

I watched this competition of building art in the sand at the beach. The teams worked many hours and their work was amazing. The judges decided the best work. I was amazed. Then here comes the tide and all the hours of work slowly was absorbed back into the ocean. There is a lesson there?

Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

AT BEST LIFE IS A GREAT CHALLENGE. GOD NEVER DESIGNED LIFE TO BE A ROSE GARDEN OF GREAT EASE. LIFE IS ABOUT LEARNING TO OVERCOME OBSTACLES AND GROW STRONGER.

We search for a FEAR SLAYER so we will never have to worry and fret.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Courage is not the absence of FEAR and PROBLEMS. Courage is to TRUST an UNSEEN GOD even if the GIANT STAYING BEFORE US SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE.

THE ISSUE OF GETTING UP WHEN WE ARE KNOCKED DOWN IS AN ABSOLUTE TRUST THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL. WHEN IT IS OVER OUR HEAD, IT IS UNDER JESUS’ FEET.

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

SEEMS WE ARE SEARCHING FOR SOME EASIER WAY THAN BY GETTING KNOCKED DOWN ON A REGULAR BASIS? IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO BE KNOCKED DOWN AND THEN DESIRE TO GET UP. SEEMS WE LOVE THE PITY PARTIES.

What do I do when I get knocked down? We must learn this storm can sink our little vessel. Or this storm is a good opportunity to learn and try harder. TRY AGAIN. This failure might just be the stepping stone that will lead us to the plan of God.

So what, we failed? It is better to aim for a star and hit the moon, than it is to always be landing in a mud puddle? This being knocked down is a learning lesson.

WHAT ARE YOU WORTH?

Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

GREAT PEOPLE OF GOD HAVE OFTEN BEEN KNOCKED DOWN. THEY HAD TO LEARN, GET UP! GET UP! OPEN YOUR EYES, YOU MAY HAVE BEEN KNOCKED DOWN, THE COUNT: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9--- WAIT JESUS IS WALKING WITH US--- JESUS IS NOT DEAD, JESUS IS ALIVE AND WELL…

WHILE WE GET KNOCKED DOWN, WE SEARCH FOR SOMETIME THAT IS EASIER THAN THIS? SO WE LEARN TO GIVE THE OFFERING OF EXCUSES. OFTEN WE GET KNOCKED DOWN and OUT IN OUR DAILY LIFE WE GIVE A WORTHLESS OFFERING?

Luke 14:18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

We often begin by “OFFERING EXCUSES?” 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10… GET UP …

IS OUR NEGATIVE MIND SET AND THINKING PATTERN HOLDING US BACK FROM REACHING TOWARD OUR GOD’S PLAN?

Do we ever get knocked down? So what? Do we have PITY PARTIES, GLOOM AND DESPAIR? Do we lay and cry for days? Or are we determined I am going to GET UP AND PRESS FORWARD UNTIL I CAN OVERCOME?

THIS MISUNDERSTANDING? THIS STORM? THIS PROBLEM? THIS TRIAL? CAN REVEAL THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN US… QUIT WORRYING ABOUT EXTERNALS, GET THE HEART RIGHT! Get up!

2 Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
