BLESSED ARE THE HANDS AND HEARTS THAT GIVE.

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes)

WE HAVE A DIVINE MANDATE TO REACH THOSE WITH NO HOPE AND NO PEACE. LIFE HAS A WAY OF CRUSHING US WITH DEADLY WOUNDS…

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

NOTHING, NOTHING FOR JESUS? WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS IT.?

I did not acknowledge the call on my life. My dad pastored in Frankfort, Ky. I was teaching school in Lee, Count, Virginia. We all gathered at dad’ s for Christmas. We opened up our gifts that year. Good was good to us. Later I went in a back bedroom and reflected on Christmas. There was presents for everyone. Everyone but Jesus. I said never again… If it were in my power I would tell everyone it was Jesus’ birthday. The remainder of the years teaching we would purpose a gift for Jesus. I have kept this promise. What you do or don’t do is up to you. I will tell the story.

AM I SELFISH OR SELFLESS? GENEROSITY… THE BIBLE TEACHES MANY CLEAR LESSONS… SOME MAKE A DIFFERENCE… THERE IS A SAD STORY NOT EVERYONE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE…

Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

Jesus was called to heal the blind, heal sick people… IT IS OFTEN EASY TO ANALYZE PEOPLE’S PROBLEMS AND CALL THE SELF-INFLICTED.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 6:38 (NLT2) Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

HOW DO WE DEMONSTRATE GOD’S LOVE? GIVE YOU OR DOUBLE IT AND PASS IT ON…

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:35 (NLT2) And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

IIS IT EASY TO LOOSE GIVING MEMORY? THERE IS SOMETHING WORSE THAN LOSING YOUR MEMORY.

Psalm 137:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

Psalm 137:5 (NLT2) If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget how to play the harp.

PROVERBS 22:9 (LB) GENEROUS HANDS ARE BLESSED HANDS BECAUSE THEY GIVE BREAD TO THE POOR…

Proverbs 22:9 (NLT2) Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

GOD’S HANDS COVER US AND BLESS US.

Psalm 139:5 (NLT) You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.

WHERE THERE IS LOVE GIVING DOES NOT SEEM AS A SACRIFICE. PLANNED GIVING.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

GUARD YOUR GIVING AND YOUR HEART.

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
