Summary: A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song - So, when you bend Gods ear what would you say?

Scripture reading

He was a priest, she was barren and the angel said unto Zacharias, thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. Luke 1:13

The angel appeared to Mary, and promised her a child, 34 and said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore, that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

I cannot begin to imagine what went through this teenagers head as she were about to become the talk of town, a spectacle and a public disgrace - This would be a scandal of the highest order.

How would my parents react, what would I tell them? “I could be stoned” And Joseph, poor Joseph, what would he think. Who would believe a pregnant young girl claiming to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit? Really now, who would buy into that, no one! And Joseph didn’t either.

But God had it covered: Matt 20:20 while “Joseph” thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost - This was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,21 which being interpreted is, God with us. For he shall save his people from their sins. Isaiah 9:7

Matt 20:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Being used as an instrument for the execution and the fulfilment of Gods Covent promise and His plan of salvation filled her heart with Joy, and excitement. Mary expressed her feelings with a song of praise and adoration. Luke 1:46-50; -54-55.

46 And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,

47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

48 for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.

For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;

49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me,

and holy is his name.

50 And his mercy is for those who fear him

from generation to generation.

54 He has helped his servant Israel,

in remembrance of his mercy,

55 as he spoke to our fathers,

to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”

Mary humbly submitted herself to God's calling when she said: Let it done to me according to your Word. Luke 1:38

You don't have to encourage Mary to praise God, to her, praises is something that comes naturally, she did not have to sleep over it, Filled by the Holy Spirit praises flows from her inner most being.,

Her response personifies a personal and an intimate relationship with God.

True worship comes from a humble and repentant heart. Shallow and superficial worship is insincere, and an insult to God. Isaiah says, "This people draw near Me with their mouth and with their lips they do honor Me, but have removed their heart far from Me." Isaiah 29:13

If we want to glorify God, we must worship Him in Spirit and in truth, such seek the Lord to worship Him. Joh 4:24. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up James 4:10. – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8,

With a meek and a quiet spirit she humbly and intimately submitted herself to God. - Her entire being screamed honor, praise and thanksgiving.

Experiencing Salvation and transformation is experiencing God - The Holy Spirit intimately touches your heart, and rivers of living water flows from your soul. John 7:38.

Humility is the essence of what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It saturates the soul and fills your heart with praises and adoration, you cannot contain it! – This is what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ.

Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, the poor in spirit and the lowly of mind, those who weep and morn over their spiritual condition, hungering and thirsting after righteousness, they will be filled. Blessed are the pure in heart - they shall see God - Great is your reward in heaven - You will be called the children of God.

serve the LORD with gladness in your hearts and offer a sacrifice of praise to God, be thankful unto him, [and] bless his Holy name, for He has done great things. Enter into his gates with singing, making melody in your heart. Enter His courts with grace - praise his Name. Sing a new song unto to the Lord. Continually Come before his presence, Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: when you diligently search for me with all your heart you will find me.
