Summary: How to live in response to salvation

1 Peter chapter 1

1. Some words used in various translations to identify this group of people Peter is writing to: strangers, pilgrims, foreigners, aliens, elect; those who don’t belong

2. They are Scattered (explain why)

3. Not one has been forgotten (Noah, Lot, Jeremiah, Rapture)

4. Peter says they’ve been chosen by the foreknowledge of God/ God knew us and still he chose us/ God is great in mercy

5. He chose us to make us Holy/ by the Sanctifying work of the Spirit

6. HE chose us to give us a new life/ Born again

7. What a God we have/ More precious than gold/ We wasn’t bought with Gold but the precious blood of Jesus/ because of Jesus we have a new life that lasts forever

8. Living hope

9. Priceless inheritance/ Great expectation/ one that is beyond the reach of earthly threats/ Eternal security

10. God is protecting us by his power until the day of our Salvation/ Threefold Salvation

11. We can’t always see him but yet he is there/ Footprints in the sand

12. Angels would have given anything for this salvation

13. Don’t go back into the old things that we did when we didn’t know any better

14. God is a good father but he’s a responsible father that won’t lets us do whatever we want he will correct us when we need it

15. Now just because we are the chosen people of God don’t mean we are excluded from trials of life/ We might have to suffer for a while/ Reason for trials prove our faith/ if I never had a problem

16. End result of our faith is salvation of our souls

17. Set your Hope on salvation to come

18. Come Jesus come
