Summary: “Pride keeps you in charge, pride makes you think it’s all about me, pride will keep you doing dead things, and then laugh at you as it all comes tumbling down.”

(Bad Into Worse)

Everything Can Change Daniel 4:30-31

The king spoke, saying, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?” 31 While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven: “King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you!

Nebuchadnezzar was known for his building projects, such as a 400 foot high mountain terraced with flowing water and hanging gardens for his wife (One of the seven wonders of the ancient world) as a place for cool refreshment. Nebuchadnezzar was a leader, a king, and a statesmen. However, he received and absorbed all credit for any and all project, and for such pride, judgement fell.

Think about it, In one split second everything changed!

There’s been several tragedy’s this week, and men in high positions that have gotten caught. (Just read the paper)

Men and women that live high on the hog presently (On cloud nine) they seem to be full, proud, without any help they earned everything they own. However, in one split second everything can (Will) change.

Remember Acts 12:21-24NLT and an appointment with Herod was granted. When the day arrived, Herod put on his royal robes, sat on his throne, and made a speech to them. 22 The people gave him a great ovation, shouting, “It’s the voice of a god, not of a man!”23 Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died. 24 Meanwhile, the word of God continued to spread, and there were many new believers.

* What causes so great of a fall; what keeps a man from God’s best?

*Refusing to obey God, and His leadership.

*Refusing to give.

*Refusing to be fruitful, and use all gifting’s.

*Refusing to bow.

*Refusing to dream and be a part of something bigger.

Proverbs 16:18NLT Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

“Pride keeps you in charge, pride makes you think it’s all about me, pride will keep you doing dead things, and then laugh at you as it all comes tumbling down.”

Isaiah 2:11NKJ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Obadiah 1:3NLT You have been deceived by your own pride because you live in a rock fortress and make your home high in the mountains. ‘Who can ever reach us way up here?’ you ask boastfully.

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and in his dream everything was pretty well explained. As Daniel interrupted his dream Nebuchadnezzar was seemingly humbled, but latter on he forgets its significance so he begins to boost.

James 4: 7-10NKJ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

While in the fields grazing, Nebuchadnezzar looks up into the heavens, and God brings restoration.

“Any great move of God begins as people declare their dependance on God.”

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

The great stipulation is...if!

For the same glory that came into Solomon’s temple will come presently when men and women bow down. (The priest couldn’t even stand.)

Benediction.
