# 5~FOUR –pt 1~ THE MEANING OF BIBLE NUMBERS 10-29-11
Today we’ll continue to look into the meaning of Bible Numbers if the Lord be willing and today we will say a few things about the number “four”.
The number four always has reference to all that is created. It is the number of things that have a beginning, of things that are made, of material things, and matter itself. It is the number of material completeness. Therefore it is the number of the WORLD.
The number four is made up of three and one (3+1=4), and in this understanding it marks that which follows the revelation of God in the Trinity, (3) being the number of the TRINITY, (1) is the number of God.
The Trinity is found in the first three verses of Genesis 1:
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God (three Godhead) ---created (four) the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. (Two) is the number of division and witness, and very often the number of Satanic activity.—as we’ve already pointed out in the 2nd of all the epistles in the New Testament, and mostly in chapter two, if you’ll recall we saw the Devil busy about his activities in the 2nd epistles., he is the divider, he’d love to divide every family, church and country.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, (the WORD) Let there be light: and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. The Jewish day starts and ends at sun set.—not like the Gregorian calendar we go by.
------------
Notice; the FOURTH day the material creation was finished in Genesis 1:14-19.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; listen to the four parts of time--and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, (sun) and the lesser light to rule the night: (moon) he made the stars also.
I want to say right here, the moon has no light of it’s own, it reflects the light of the sun, it makes us think of Christians, we have no light of our own, we are so to speak reflectors, we reflect the LIGHT of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ the SON of God.
Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Now back to Gen.1:17, remember we’re talking about the number “four” today, the number of creation.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, (sun, moon, and stars) 18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The first and second chapters of Genesis, is the record of CREATION, the word Creature is found four times, beginning in verse 20.
1: 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so—
And then in chapter 2:19
