# 4 ~ THREE –pt.2 ~ THE MEANING OF BIBLE NUMBERS ~ 10-22-11
Today we’ll continue to look into the meaning of number three and then say a few things to do with the number four as time permits. First I need to remind us that that there are (4) numbers that are said to be numbers that relate to perfection and completion, each of these are different than the other three. Moreover, the four numbers are,--3—7—10 –12.
Three is the first of four perfect numbers. --Three denotes divine perfection; --Seven denotes spiritual perfection; --Ten denotes orderly perfection, and twelve denotes governmental perfection. All things that are especially complete are stamped with this number three.
As we continue on to do with the number three, listen, and notice that the number three is to do with “divine perfection”
Three is the number of the RESURRECTION, it’s also the number of the TRINITY, and we’ve already mentioned several things to do with the number three and we’ll not go over all of that again in order to keep from repeating ourselves, although I’m sure we’ll do that also from time to time.
The Lord Jesus three appearings in Hebrews 9: (3x3) reveal to us that His work will not be divinely perfect and complete until He appears again.
Hebrews 9: verses 26 & 28 we read
26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now (present) once in the end of the world hath he appeared (passed tense) to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
--28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear (future) the second time without sin unto salvation.
At the Giving of the Law
At the giving of the law three times Israel said in Exodus 19:8, 24:3 &7 “All that the LORD hath spoken we will do” marking the completeness of the Covenant-making on the part of Israel; but Israel could not keep their part of the agreement, man has never yet kept any Covenant which he made with God. As we think on what all of this meant it points out that Israel put them selves under Gods law, they said three times, “all that the LORD had said we will do”.

The Three-Day’s Search for Elijah
The three-day’s search for Elijah was conclusive testimony that he could not be found (2 Kings 2:17).

The Great Feasts are three, there are seven feast altogether that the Jew’s partook of, but these three all the male Jew’s was commanded to attend.
The great feasts were three; Unleavened Bread, Weeks, Tabernacles
(Deuteronomy 16:16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles:--

Law, Prophets, and Psalms
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me--
Then we’re told about the completeness of Apostasy (Jude v-11)
“The way of Cain”
“The error of Balaam.”
“The gainsaying of Korah.”
The completeness of Divine Judgment –as God delivered Daniel from the den of Lions. ---notice the 3’s
(Daniel 6:25-28 25Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
Listen as I read verse 28, there’s 17 words in this verse; the verse is to do with “victory” seventeen is the number of victory.
28So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. –17 words, -victory
In addition, the Divine judgment is seen in Daniel 5:---as Daniel interprets the hand writing on the wall to Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar’s grandson. --- (3-words)
