LESSON TWO

WHAT EVERY WIFE NEEDS FROM HER HUSBAND

Eph. 5:25-29

In most cases when there is trouble at home, the man is at fault.

If husbands will be right & do right.

Then the wives & the children will get in line.

In the majority of cases.

The man is the least willing to accept or seek counsel.

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

1)EVERY WIFE NEEDS TO BE LOVED:

Ephesians 5:25-29 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Love is kindness & gentleness!

The gentle wind moves the ship.

However the strong wind breaks the sail.

Love is courtesy & politeness

Love is sincere praise

Love is not overburdening your wife

Love is being just & fair

LOVE IS BEING UNDERSTANDING

Love is sacrificing yourself

Love is a forgiving attitude

Love respects the dignity of the other

Love is romance

Love is meeting the needs of your wife

Men if wives have loving leadership.

They will follow.

Your attitude should not be

“You’ll do it. Or else”

Should be.

“I want you to do it because I love you.”

2) EVERY WIFE NEEDS LEADERSHIP:

God’s plan is for Christ to be the Head of the man.

Man is to be the head of the woman.

Together they are to lead the children.

Men should lead in Spiritual matters

The man should be the most spiritual.

He should be the most dedicated.

He should be the closest to God.

He should be winning the most souls to Christ.

The man should be up first on Sunday Morning to lead the family to church.

Never forget that the man is responsible for his family.

Abraham was blessed by God.

WHY?

Because he lead his house hold well.

Genesis 18:17-19 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

On the other hand Eli was judged by God.

Why?

Because he did not lead his family.

1 Samuel 3:12-13 In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.

For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

Men, if your boy goes to prison or your girl becomes immoral.

It’s our fault!!!!

God gives us some Joshua’s who will say.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Men should lead in money matters:

If you ever fight about.

Let the man handle the finances.

If the woman does it many times leads to problems.

She is to be protected in this money matters.

Men should lead in household matters:

Men should decide the schedule & make the major decisions.

The wise husband will consult the wife.

However he should make the finial decision on the matter at hand.

I always ask for Jan’s impute.

I have the finial say so.

3) EVERY WIFE NEEDS SECURITY:

Many wives have great difficulties because their husbands do not provide security.

Here are a few ways on how to provide security:

EXPRESS your love to her.

Reassure of your unfailing love for her.

Don’t COMPARE her to other women.

Take her SIDE.

KEEP her informed

Don’t be a DOUBLE-MINDED man.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

4)EVERY WIFE NEEDS ATTENTION:

Men, don’t get too busy for your wife. !!!!!!

Have a date with her at least every other week.
