I appreciate this outline. I have preached this passage as three points, blessing God for blessings from the past, blessings in the present, and blessings in the future, but I think this division along the members of the Trinity is better and avoids the confusion of future blessings rooted in the past or present such as having obtained (past) an inheritance (future). I won''t use as many references outside of Ephesians 1, but I like the trinitarian outline and believe that the threefold outline is strongly suggested in the text by the phrase "to the praise of his glory" which is found three times in Ephesians 1:3-14.
