#2 ~ JESUS CHRIST~ BIBLE DOCTRINE 7-7-12

Last week we began a new study on Bible Doctrine, and we talked a little to do with the doctrine of "GOD", I realize that the doctrine of God could be practically inexhaustible, so I'm sure there was much more that could have been said on the subject.

Believing that there is a God and believing in Him is the first and foremost matter of importance in any ones life, if there is no God then nothing else in the Bible is of any importance, none of the other many Bible doctrines can stand if there is not a God. But rest assured, there is a God, there are not a number of gods, there is only ONE.

Isaiah 45: 5-22 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else

There are many religions in the world and they claim to have another god, and that is their privilege, but if they want to go to God's heaven they must believe in the One True God.

Isaiah 44:8 Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Today I want to talk a little to do with the "DOCTRINE OF JESUS CHRIST", let me say right off that we're still talking about God because as we'll see, Jesus is God the Son.

22 Listen carefully as I read Isaiah 45: 22 again,

Isaiah 45: 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else

We know that there is only One Savior, here in Isaiah 45: 22 Jehovah God say's

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: --- notice He said "all the ends of the earth." -- Jesus Christ is the Savoir of all man kind, "all ye ends of the earth."

23 Jesus said in;

John 5:39 -40 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. ----

John 6: 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

------------------------

24 Jesus Is the One and the same God of the Old Testament, listen as I read these scriptures;

25 God is the Creator;

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

-----

Neh. 9: 6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Isa. 42: 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it--

-----

26 In the verses that we just read we're told that God was the Creator; Let me remind us that we're talking today about the Doctrine of JESUS CHRIST.

27 Jesus is the Creator, Jesus is God;

John 1:1--3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

----

Col 1:15-17 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

---------

Heb 1:10-12 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Lets be sure and notice that we don't read here that THEY SHALL BE DONE AWAY WITH, it say's "they shall be changed."

This is a reference to the scripture in;

Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

----------------

28 God is the Savior;

Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
