#13~ TEN~ BIBLE NUMBER MEANINGS 1-14-12

~ "TEN" REPRESENTS, TESTIMONY, LAW, AND RESPONSIBILITY ~

TEN is found 248 times in our KJ Bible, TEN has been a significant number through out all ages. TEN stands for TESTIMONY-TEN stands for RESPONSIBILITY, and also O.T. LAW.

Man was RESPONSIBLE under the LAW to keep the commandments and bear a TESTIMONY for God.

In Exodus 20: 2 X 10 we find the TEN COMMANDMENTS.

And let me remind us that their not the 10 suggestions, these are the moral law for all mankind and for all ages, the only one of the ten commandments that is not found in the N.T. is the 4th commandment, (remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy), the Sabbath is all together applied to Israel and not the Church, they were under the law, we are under grace.

A lot of people go off the deep end with the 6th Commandment, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" it would be wonderful if the murders went by this, but God set a law in place for these people back in

GEN.9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

* Let me say it as you and I might say it; "if any man takes another man's life, his life shall be taken by lawfully appointed men."

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood:--

The death penalty is a deterate many times, not all the time, but it will be to some. It should be the law of the land, if a person is proven to be guilty without doubt then the death penalty is the right penalty, and he should not be held in jail for 20 or 30 years, it's my opinion that if he's proven guilty without any doubt whatsoever it should be carried out in just a few days at most, maybe in that little span of time some might be saved.. If there's any doubt at all he should not be found guilty.

And let me say that God is not implying that we can not protect our family and our self.

* And let me say right here that the entire human race has been found guilty as we're all sinners, God has issued the death penalty for all lost sinners.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; --

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified (present tense, not going to be justified but BEING JUSTIFIED) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The word== JUST--IF--I'D== to be justified in Gods eyes is to be JUST--IF--I'D-- never sinned at all. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And for people that think they can be lost again once their saved don't understand the keeping power of God.

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We're the sinners, He's the Saviour, and He knows how to preserve His saints.

Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, ** (Justice) and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever:

I realize that, that don't have much to do with the number TEN, but maybe it will help someone to understand how man stands being lost in Gods sight, but God has made away that we can be saved if we'll only take it.
