WHO AM I? MY LIGHT IS SO SMALL (Part 1)

YOU MAY NEVER KNOW HOW IMPORTANT WHAT YOU DO, OR WHAT YOU REFUSE TO DO COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE. NOBODY SEES WHAT YOU ARE DOING? I NEVER RECEIVE MUCH APPRECIATION OR THANKS FOR WHAT I DO? WHO CARES?

Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Zechariah 4:10 (NLT2) Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.)

WHO? KNOW ONE KNOWS MY NAME. MY LIGHT IS SO DIM? WE DON’T EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF THE WOMAN…

Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

WHO? WHO? DO WE UNDERSTAND OBSTACLES? THE CROWD PRESSED THE FOUR MEN THAT SET A MIRACLE IN ACTION. ARISE GET UP AND WALK. GET UP AND WALK. WHO? WE DON’T KNOW THEIR NAMES?

Mark 2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Mark 2:11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. .

WHO IS ANDREW? ANDREW: there is no book of ANDREW in the New Testment. ANDREW NEVER ACHIEVED FAME AND FORTUNE. ANDREW IS RECORDED AS A BRINGER. We can never under-estimate how important ANDREW’S WORK MATTERED. ANDREW BROUGHT HIS BROTHER PETER. PETER CHANGED THE WORLD.

John 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.

ANDREW BRINGS THE LITTLE BOY WITH 5 BISCUITS AND TWO SMALL FISHES… YOU TALK ABOUT LITTLE --- ONE BROWN LUNCH BAG. REMEMBER WHO BROUGHT THE BOY TO JESUS? ANDREW!

John 6:8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9.There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

THERE ARE SOME STRANGERS THAT WANTED TO MEET JESUS. They come to Philip. For some reason Philip did not feel he should bother Jesus. So Philip tells ANDREW. ANDREW BRINGS THE GREEKS TO JESUS.

John 12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

Andrew could tell his light is small next to Peter’s role. But my role was to introduce people to Jesus. Andrew did not preach the first message after Pentecost but he brought Peter. Peter did.

WHO? WE KNOW HER NAME? DORCAS OR TABITHA. WE NEVER HEARD SHE TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL OR TAUGHT AT A LADY’S PRAY MEETING. DORCAS, MANY MAY EVER KNOW, BUT YOUR NEEDLE AND THREAD HELPED MANY PEOPLE.

Acts 9:36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
