Then Yahweh said to Jonah, "Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me."

From the outside looking in, it would be easy to assume that the political and economic prosperity both nations enjoyed, were proof of God’s blessings resulting from their fidelity to the Covenant…. However:

Hosea was the last Prophet to Israel
July 11, 2026 Hosea, whose name means “Yahweh has Saved” was the last prophet to Israel. His book only mentions Jeroboam II in Israel, but also mentions Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah in Judah. This helps us to date his ministry to roughly a 35-year span – from 760 to 725 BC - before ...read more
