Paul understood that the power of regeneration was not in baptism or received by the act of baptism, but received through faith in the working of God.

While Paul was in prison in Rome, Epaphras came too Paul as he needed Paul's help, he explained to Paul that some new doctrines were being taught in Colossi and were invading the church and creating problems.

~ Throughout this epistle Paul's emphasis has been on the believer's union with Christ. --- The Christian who does not pray is demonstrating independence from God. --- He wants His children to ask Him.

The Colossian assembly's membership was made up mostly of Gentiles. (1:21, 27; 2:13). ~ The church at Colossi is not mentioned in the book of Acts. ~ Nothing is said of its size, there's no historical record of it. ~ It was distroyed by an earth Quake.
