PALM SUNDAY CHANT
We’re going to sing a rap-song together now. What I need you to do is to chant each line after me, and to cheer madly when I lift my arms into the air:
Ho-sann-a; Ho-sann-a;
Hear the people cheer (arms in the air)
Riding on a donkey
See the King appear (arms in the

To avoid offending anybody, the school dropped religion altogether and started singing about the weather. At my son’s school, they now hold the winter program in February and sing increasingly nonmemorable songs such as “Winter Wonderland,” “Frosty the Snowman” and—this is a real song—”Suzy

HOLY CHILD
Ah, dearest Jesus, holy Child,
Make thee a bed, soft, undefiled,
Within my heart, that it may be
A quiet chamber kept for Thee.
My heart for very joy doth leap,
My lips no more can silence keep,
I too must sing, with joyful tongue,
That sweetest ancient cradle song,
Glory to God
