I have a friend who started this church in the lower 48 that was so successful that they had a difficult time finding a place to meet for Sunday services. They had so many people showing up on Sunday they were literally standing in the parking lot waiting for a seat in the next service.
The church

In 1540 Martin Luther’s friend and assistant, Frederick Myconius, became sick and he was expected to die. As he lay there on his death bed he wrote a farewell letter to Luther. And when Luther got it he sent back the reply: ‘I command thee in the name of God to live, because I still have need of

I didn’t get an allowance when I was in high school and any kind of paying work was few and far between. My parents expected me to come to them when I needed money for lunch money, class rings, yearbooks, books, gas money, dates, or anything. Instead of being thankful that they wanted to give me

There once was a weak and sickly man. The man was so sick and he could not afford going to town to the doctor. The man lived in the deep back woods in an old log cabin, his condition seemed to grow worse. Out in front of his cabin was a huge boulder. The rock was massive in front of his place. One

I will close with a record of something God did 130 years go in New York City. It illustrates how God has started every harvest time in history, through the concerted prayer of his people. Toward the middle of the last century the glow of earlier religious awakenings had faded. America was

You may have heard the story about evangelist Dwight L. Moody who was quite perturbed when a brother in Christ at one of his meetings continued to pray on and on and on. The man became so lost in his own eulogy on the Almighty that people in the audience became restless. As Moody saw no end in

INTO THE DAY
I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
I didn’t have time to pray.
Troubles just tumbled about me
And heavier came each task.
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered,
He answered, "You didn’t ask."
I tried to come into God’s presence,
