I will go ahead of you!

Exodus 17:6”Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink..”

I simply love these words! God would go before us to prepare the place of miracle! Moses struck the rock but God brought out the water – are you listening? The fact that God is involved in every move that we take just overwhelms me! God just did not say ‘Moses go and strike the rock but He said, ‘I would go before you!’ Amen. On one of my daughter’s birthday, when she was very small, I remember my husband bought a cycle for her secretly, he got her name painted on it, concealed it carefully until the day of her birthday and gave it to her as a surprise, he has done many such things and I have always been amazed at the efforts he takes to do such things. Our Heavenly Dad is much more adorable and does awesome things beyond comprehension! Are you there? He would go before you! He would go before you to prepare your college admission, He would go ahead of you and be there with you as you attend an interview, He would be your comfort and your friend and go before you wherever you go. Isn’t this fact simply amazing and mind-blowing!

When we relocated our ministry to Hyderabad after about a decade of ministry in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore, we did wonder, ‘ now, what next!’ God put me in contact with a principal of a school who invited me to preach to the teachers of her school on the very first week I landed in Hyderabad. I repeat, that very week God opened a door! We had a small gathering of teachers in a room and we had a meeting, next she invited me to have a fasting prayer meeting in the auditorium of her school. The following week, we carried our keyboard and all necessary equipment for the meeting and we were taken to the school auditorium – I was stunned by what I saw! It was a huge lovely auditorium, with chairs carefully arranged by the care taker of the school himself, we had necessary tables and all things that we needed were provided. Very shortly after we reached a new city, God not only provided an auditorium free of cost, fully furnished but He also provided people who attended the meetings: school children, their parents, teachers, neighbors of that locality and parents were the initial crowd. God would go before you!

Are you today worried about a new assignment? Are you fearful of a doctor visit? Are you feeling lonely in a new environment? Are you venturing into a new business project? Whatever my friend, fear not – God would go before you!
