Changing Our Lives Due To The Harshness Of This ...
Contributed by Michael Hahn on Apr 14, 2012 (message contributor)
Changing our lives due to the harshness of this world - Coming or going: leaving or staying? Which one will we be happy doing?
The psalmist wrote: "Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord. NTB TTT
2 But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night. NTB TTT
3 He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings. EBD NTB TTT
4 The evil-doers are not so;...
"Leaving" is not necessarily a bad thing to do because "leaving" also involves "moving on" or "moving forward". There are times in our lives when our circumstances are "signs" to us that we are not necessarily in the place where we ought to be. More precisely, where we should be in our relationship with God. If we recognize this as an indicator that we "must move" closer to God, then such leaving will be a positive influence on us and lead us towards a deeper relationship with Jesus. Whenever we "run from" something signifies we will be runnung towards something else. When we "run from" this world, let it be that we "ran towards" to be with Our Lord! That would be the most positive change in our lives that we could ever make.
