Tipos Y Figuras De La Palabra De Dios ...
Contributed by Major Gerardo Balmori on Mar 23, 2010 (message contributor)
TIPOS Y FIGURAS DE LA PALABRA DE DIOS (translation follows)
ESPADA.

TYPES AND FIGURES OF THE WORD OF GOD
SWORD. The Word of God is in layers, reaching the most hidden places deep in the heart, like a sword or knife that penetrates and works to expose the problem that no one sees. (Hebrews 4:12)
HAMMER. The Scripture is like a hammer that breaks up the most hardened heart. (Jeremiah. 23: 29b)
FIRE. The Word of God burns away all impurity and misconceptions that we have in our hearts, purifying our mind. (Jeremiah 23:29)
PAN. Man has a strong spiritual side in his nature which the Bible calls "Alma" and must be fed. The Word of God is food (bread) of the soul. (Matthew 4:4)
RAIN. For as descended from the heavens the rain and snow, and do not return there but water the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word that comes from My mouth will not return to me empty, but will do what I want, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent. (Isaiah 55: 10-11)
MIRROR. The mirror reflects us as we are. It tells the truth with no bones. If we look bad, it does not hesitate to let us know. Telling the truth is one of the characteristics of the Bible, for it tells us exactly what we are and what we are doing right or wrong. (James 1:23)
All this and more is the Bible. What are you going to do with it?
