The Market For Gifts And Home Decorative Accents ...
Contributed by Sermon Central on Apr 14, 2008 (message contributor)
The Market for Gifts and home decorative accents hit $65.2 billion in ’07. The gift market grew at a compound annual rate of 14.7% from ’02 to ’07, while home decor rose 9.4%. Change is the norm. Unity Marketing’s Pam Danziger notes, “What was hot 5 years ago has gone frigidly cold. And what is hot today was barely measurable 5 years ago.” The key for success in the giftware market is to continually offer new, distinctly different products to consumers hungry for new, unique and different product concepts. Marketers need to make sure these new concepts are available in the widening range of destinations where giftware shoppers turn. (Christian E-tailing 3/13/08)
