Sermon Illustrations

As a Pastor I have preached many times on how much we are loved. I have an illustration that was shared with me that I use quite often as I preach. I would like to share it so that others may see that indeed we are truly loved. We know that no greater love has ever been shown than Jesus giving His life on the cross. Let us think back though to "In the Beginning". As God the Father held His new creation in His hand, this clay lifeless figure, can we stop for a moment and think that He turned to Jesus, the Son, and before giving this creation the breath of life He asked "Are You Sure?" We have no doubts that Jesus said "YES, I am Sure!!" He loves us and we can be assured today that His love is still strong and can bring you through any storm this life may bring you. Remember that no matter what may happen here, if you know Christ today, it will be better there.
