A HAPPY TRADITION?
In a 2003 movie called "Pieces of April" a tatooed and rebellious daughter named April invites her disfunctional family to a Thanksgiving meal, hoping to heal old wounds and recreate a sense of family ritual.
While they are driving to April’s house, her mom and sister take to bad-mouthing April while Dad tries to defend her.
Later, April’s oven breaks, and the tension only gets worse.
There is a 1995 movie called "Home For the Holidays" that is not much better. It’s basically 36 hours of bickering and reconciling over a Thanksgiving dinner.
