A quick look at Jesus in Psalm 51.

Was Jesus ever filthy because of iniquity and sin? Yes. When all believers' sin was imputed to Him on the cross, God forgot the sin that was imputed to Jesus, purged, as with hyssop in verse 7, declared by Jesus' resurrection from death, Jesus now sits in heaven, pure, perfect, and holy. Jesus was forsaken by His Father on the cross and sought that the joy He had with Him would be restored. Verse 12, Jesus bore sin such that God His Father delivered Him up to death as a sinner, as if He were guilty of bloodshed. Verse 14, Jesus owned his people's transgressions, iniquity, and sin to save them. Because Jesus fulfilled these things, David and other sinners can appeal to God for mercy and forgiveness when you see Jesus in Psalm 51.
