[250]. A Message From A Poem – Thank You Lord

[250]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THANK YOU LORD
This is a “Thank You” poem. There is much to thank God for. Should we thank God for our birth that is the start of an eternal relationship in joy, bathed in the love of God? Yes! That is love that God wants to share Himself in so many blessings.
You remember Job was so weighed down in suffering and pain he said this – {{Job 2:13 – Job 3:1-4 Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great. Afterward Job opened his mouth and CURSED THE DAY OF HIS BIRTH. And Job said, “Let the day perish on which I was to be born, and the night which said, ‘A boy is conceived.’ “May that day be darkness. Let not God above care for it, nor light shine on it.”}}
Pain was so great that it dulled the presence and love of God. That can happen to us in some degree but we must thank God He created us so that we might be the recipients of love and grace and mercy.
There are 7 stanzas and each one has a theme. Love, blood, life, word, me, joy, hope.
The structure of the poem is a bit unusual. In each stanza, the first two lines use parallelism; the third line maintains the theme of the stanza and the last line is a statement.
It is a simple poem that thanks God for His blessing to us which is undeserved by us.
{{Ephesians 5:18-20 “and do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord, ALWAYS GIVING THANKS for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father”}}
================================================================
THANK YOU LORD
Thank You for your heart of love.
Thank You for the depth of love.
For the love that gave
Your only Son to die.
================
Thank You for the precious blood.
Thank You we’re redeemed by blood.
For the Lamb’s shed blood
That paid in full my sin.
================
Thank You, Lord, for renewed life.
Thank You for eternal life.
For the life of Christ
You want to live through me.
================
Thank you for the precious word.
Thank You for the guiding word.
For the word of God
Breathed out from men for us.
================
Thank You Lord for saving me.
Thank You Lord for keeping me.
For Your drawing me
Close to the heart of God.
================
Thank You for the Spirit’s joy.
Thank You for the fruit of joy.
For the joy of Christ
That’s settled in my soul.
================
Thank You for the blesséd hope.
Thank You for sustaining hope.
For the hope that Christ
Will come again for me.
