[203]. A Message From A Poem - On The Eve Of Trial

[203]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - ON THE EVE OF TRIAL
This poem was written at the airport when I had to go away for a very unjust hearing before a wicked, unjust Commissioner/Judge, and the whole setup was so evil. If you ever feel the dragon’s breath then you will know what I mean. I don’t wish these things on any Christians, but Satan wants his way.
He is not in control and is powerless against our God. The Lord allows things to encounter us, but He holds the reigns. “Fear not,” the Lord would tell us. I think this verse is so grand but the truth of it is known when we are needing it – {{John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage. I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.”}}
This is a very personal poem for me but the purpose of sharing it, is that it could be very meaningful for you in similar circumstances when the cliffs loom large before you. And please remember this verse as well; even though it speaks of temptation, there is a wider truth here – {{1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that YOU MAY BE ABLE TO ENDURE IT.”}}
One day God will wipe away all tears and all fears. All trepidation will be gone. We are His forever.
Please consider the poem gently and let it speak for itself. Amen.

ON THE EVE OF TRIAL
Settle me that I fear not, what trials may lie ahead.
Give me peace and help me go, that Your way I may tread.
Scheming ways and hurtful plans, may cause me soul despair.
Then God’s grace - His comfort great, gives strength the trial to bear.
================================
Christians are the Lord’s choice flock, receive the Shepherd’s care,
Tenderness and true compassion; so His smile we wear.
He will not forsake His own, or leave them floundering.
Tracks their paths and leads the way, and leaves no wondering.
================================
Creatures of the dust are we, whose faith is often weak.
Jesus Christ our Great High Priest, our welfare He does seek.
Intercedes for us before, the Father’s throne of grace.
Of His children’s cares and trials, He knows each hurting case.
================================
Thus I know when I stand there, to meet unwelcomed pain,
My Lord’s presence goes with me; His love will never wane.
In each trial beside me stands, and strongly holds the reins.
And my soul, through all the hurt, will only add the gains.
