[187]. A Message From A Poem – My Final Destination

[187]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – MY FINAL DESTINATION
What is your final destination? “Well,” say some, “death is the end of it all. There is nothing after death. Evolution placed us here and will see our end recycled.”
Those who deny an eternal spirit in man just ignore the bible’s message – {{Hebrews 9:27 “Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and AFTER THIS comes judgement.”}} I would say to you, “Ignore God’s word at your peril!”
There are only two destinations, heaven or hell. There is no purgatory, a belief derived from pagan Babylonian religion. David wrote on the two destinations 3 000 years ago – {{Psalm 1:6 “for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”}}
Some of my Catholic friends can’t speak affirmatively of heaven. It is impossible for them. There is no assurance, but all will be determined by works, they believe. Salvation is not by works – {{Ephesians 2:8-9 “BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, NOT AS A RESULT OF WORKS, that no one should boast.”}}
My destination is heaven, just like the dying thief’s destination was to be with the Lord in Paradise. There is assurance in this and it is strengthened by the bible. Are you confused about the future? Look to God’s word! Are you uncertain about your salvation? Look to the bible! Place your life in the Lord’s hands and His keeping.
The poem ends with the fact that my destination is real because God’s special seal is on me. What is that seal? {{Ephesians 4:30 “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God BY WHOM YOU WERE SEALED for the day of redemption.”}} The Lord is not battening down heaven’s doors so it's difficult to enter. This is what Jesus said, {{John 12:32 “and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”}}
{{John 3:14-15 “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life”}}
The poem takes a look at the conditions in heaven. We can’t be certain of everything but definitely we know something of this beautiful place MY FINAL DESTINATION! It can be your destination as well if you repent, and come in need to Jesus Christ who loves you and wants to save you.
THERE ARE ONLY TWO DESTINATIONS.
==============================================================
MY FINAL DESTINATION
I have some information about my final destination.
It has come via the bible where God has placed that information.
==========================
I will go to a place where there will be no hunger, thirst, or pains.
Righteousness shines in splendid light, for the Lord God, our Saviour, reigns.
In that place is found no foul, unclean thing, or shadow of darkness.
God’s all revealing light exposes sin in the greatest starkness.
==========================
All my tears will be gone, wiped away, and all the sorrows erased.
Joy upon joy, inexpressible joy, all voices to Christ raised.
The glory of God will embrace all, for He’s the glorious One,
But a special redemptive glory – majesty – surrounds the Son.
==========================
He is perfectly divine, but with a body now glorified.
That body holds the marks of Calvary, when He lived here and died.
There are myriads of angels worshipping the Lamb on the throne,
While in heaven are the saints whose salvation His blood did atone.
==========================
This place of utter delight, my final destination, is real,
And the Lord has placed on me, His purchased child, His eternal seal.
