[087]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – FOR ALL CHRISTIANS - THE THREE Os
There are 9 poems in this Trilogy series. This poem is part of a Trilogy - three sets of three. The first set is addressed to MEN, the second to ALL CHRISTIANS and the third is SPECIFIC. This is the third one in the second set - FOR ALL CHRISTIANS.
ALL these poems follow the same format as they address the subject. ALL poems have 5 stanzas – Introduction; 3 stanzas for the subject; and the last stanza sums up. All poems feature three words based on a letter in the Alphabet. For this poem the letter is “O”.
We have a great standing in God who has done great things for us and established us in the Lord Jesus Christ. It does not rest there but our lives must progress and develop in God. Three words are necessary for that to continue. They are OBEY; OPEN (UP); and OPPOSE.
OBEY is essential because without obedience, one would not have been saved in the first place. Obedience should mark the walk of a Christian. “Trust and obey; for there’s no other way; to be happy in Jesus; but to trust and obey.”
OPEN UP means to open your hearts to fellow believers, and in the wider sense to all men. Open up in service and ministry.
OPPOSE what is wrong and never lack the courage to stand up for what is right, even in your churches. There is so much that is wrong coming from godless governments and certain religious organisations and we must not accept it. Stand for truth.
(a). {{Hebrews 5:8-9 “Although He was a Son, He learned OBEDIENCE from the things which He suffered, and having been made perfect, He became to ALL THOSE WHO OBEY HIM the source of eternal salvation,”}}
(b). {{1 Samuel 15:22 Samuel said, “Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in OBEYING the voice of the LORD? Behold, TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE, and to heed, than the fat of rams,”}}
(c). {{James 4:6 He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, but gives grace to the humble.”}} God opposes the proud so we must oppose all pride in our lives.”
(d). {{Luke 24:45 “Then He OPENED THEIR MINDS to understand the Scriptures,”}} Firstly we must have our minds open to understand the scriptures.

FOR ALL CHRISTIANS - THE THREE Os
There are three Os that challenge us if we want to succeed;
Three necessary ones to have, which we need help to heed.
They touch on matters practical, where faith sees action flow;
To demonstrate a walk with Christ so others rightly know.
==============================================
OBEY His word through sheer delight, and honour Christ as Head.
“If you love Me, keep My commands,” is what the Saviour said.
Obey His voice as willing sheep. Let Him the pasture find.
Keep sight of Him on every path, and follow close behind.
==============================================
The second O brings blessing much. Apply it all you can.
Consider how to OPEN up to help your fellow man.
Have open hearts and open homes, and open up God’s word.
Have open ears and open purse, so that His grace is heard.
==============================================
OPPOSE those things that do mislead and take away the truth.
Be careful how you handle this, when dealing with your youth.
They need to know the principles that flow from wells of grace,
For intertwined with truth they are; and stand as face to face.
==============================================
Obey in love, oppose with grace, and open up to serve.
Entanglements are such that you, away from these can swerve.
A single-minded faith in God determines how you see
Important matters in your life, to do them earnestly.

Obedience is inherit in the relationship of man (as a created being) with God, the Creator. The New Covenant does not do away with the need for obedience to God. In fact, it supply the strength to live that way. Heaven will be a place of obedience to God.
