[006]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - A NEW CREATION - FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE
This is an unusual poem that may not appeal to everyone, but it is based on emotions experienced by many who don’t know Jesus in their lives.
The first, third and fifth stanzas are the viewpoint of one suffering in his/her life when there seems no hope. A lot of the world is like that and people’s lives try to cover up the pain they experience. Some turn to “relief substances” such as alcohol and drugs for no one wants to be sad and miserable.
We have the story of the Preacher in the Old Testament in Ecclesiastes where he tried everything he could put his hand to and explored wisdom, pleasure, occupation, and much more. Here is a little of what he said – {{Ecclesiastes 2:20 “Therefore I completely despaired of all the fruit of my labour for which I had laboured under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 12:8 “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “all is vanity!”}} In the end, after all expended effort he realized the truth which is this – {{Ecclesiastes 12:13 “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is:- fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person,”}}
The state of the world is vanity without Christ. There is no other hope except in Him.
The second, fourth, and sixth stanzas of the poem form the answer to the person’s problem each time. The last stanza is the despairing one finding salvation. I hope you follow that breakup.
The world chases after shadows and none of them will ever satisfy. Salvation and life-renewal in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only solution. If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, please do so because it is your only hope. The comfort of the Lord becomes yours.
A NEW CREATION - FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE
One dreary life
Is torn by strife.
Troubles are rife.
Quick cutting knife.
======================
You can know a transformation
Ending then your condemnation;
Cleaning all the degradation
Evil with its saturation?
======================
No good delight.
I’ve lost the fight.
Black is the night.
A sin-smeared sight.
======================
There’s a reconciliation.
Jesus gives in His salvation;
Giving an anticipation
Of the future elevation.
======================
There’s nothing sound.
No good is found.
Bowed to the ground,
I know I’m bound.
======================
There will be a convocation -
Taken out of tribulation;
Drawn away from devastation;
To enjoy His revelation.
======================
Best of heaven,
The Son given.
My eyes open!
Lord, thank You then.
