Two Men And A Truck
Contributed by Loyd C. Taylor on Sep 3, 2023 (message contributor)
I reworked this old joke and used two of my men. Always ask the permission of those you intend to us, since we know some are thin-skinned. I hope it will put a smile on your lips.
HUMOR: Two Men and a Truck
Ottis and Carolyn just got settled in his new house this past year.
Ottis wanted to do a little project to surprise Carolyn, so he asked Wayne if he knew anything about carpentry. Wayne assured him he did, so Ottis asked for his help.
So, they got together, jumped in the pick-up truck, and headed down to the local Lumber Yard.
Ottis walked into the office, while Wayne waited in the truck. He goes up to the clerk and said, “We’re going to need some 'four-by-twos.'”
The clerk said, “You mean two-by-fours, don't you?”
Ottis looked at him a bit puzzled and said, “I'll go check with my buddy Wayne, he’s the expert.”
Ottis went back to the truck and returned in a minute and said, “Yeah, I meant two-by-fours.”
“All right,’ said the clerk, ‘How long do you need them?'”
Ottis paused for a minute and said, “I'd better go check.”
After a while, he returned to the office and said, “A long time. We're going to build a shed.”

One course I had in college was in adolescent psychology. Difficult class but the professor would let us bring a note card with as much information as we could get on it. That was a great help. Steve Winger writes about a final exam he took in a logic class at the university he attended. The ...read more
