He Must Increase And I Must Decrease
Contributed by Loyd C. Taylor on Mar 30, 2023 (message contributor)
HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.
When you need assurance of Eternity and answer the Gospel call-
He must increase and I must decrease!
When He bids you take up your cross and be willing then to give all-
He must increase and I must decrease!
When the storms of life threaten, and you struggle to understand-
He must increase and I must decrease!
When earthly friends forsake you and you need a reassuring hand-
He must increase and I must decrease.
When you fear what lies ahead and your eye of faith grows dim -
He must increase and I must decrease!
When your strength has been exhausted and success seems so slim-
He must increase and I must decrease!
Just know…
There is no valley too low.
There is no mountain too high.
There is no ocean too wide.
There is no desert too dry.
There is no pain too intense.
There is no difficulty too troublesome.
There is no anxiety too fearful.
There is no burden too toilsome.
If we remember, He must increase, and I must decrease!
