Putting God First
Contributed by Glynda Lomax on Mar 18, 2022 (message contributor)
I woke up this one morning recently around 7am which is fairly late for me, still very tired, and about 10 minutes into reading the Word trying to drink my coffee to wake up, I knew I would not be able to stay awake through all my prayers at that level of fatigue. But I was trying to make sure in my busy schedule I was putting the Lord first every morning, so I decided to just talk to the Lord for awhile and continue drinking my coffee. I thought if I could wake up more, I could read the Word for a little while longer. So I was sitting in my bed drinking my coffee like I do every morning...
Apparently that was also not a great idea since the next thing I remember is waking up 30 minutes later when my coffee began soaking into my pajamas. Luckily by then it was not hot, but lukewarm. LOLOL
I guess if you're going to seek God early, it helps if you wake up first.
