Christmas Eve Communion Confession

Confession
O Lord, we remember you, O Lamb of God
Born this day to take away the sin of the world;
O Word become flesh,
Who came down to share our humanity;
You alone are worthy.
Help us remember You not only with our lips,
But with our hearts as well;
Help our lives proclaim Your truth.
As we partake of this cup and bread,
The symbols of Your body and blood,
We remember Your love to us.
By Your grace,
Help us to live in peace with our neighbors,
To love our enemies,
To honor those in authority,
And to live honestly with all people;
For there is no greater commandment
Than to love You with all of our being
And our neighbor as ourselves.
Cleanse us, O Lord,
That we might be worthy to partake,
Of both this communion and Your Kingdom.
In Jesus name, Amen.
