Give Of Yourself - Serve Others
Contributed by David Simpson on Jan 30, 2018 (message contributor)
When we are out of control, God is in control. But, God is not selfish. He may desire to use you to help others, even to stop your own life from spinning out of control. Are you a victim or a volunteer? Would you be willing to say as did, Isaiah, "Here am I Lord, send me," (Isaiah 6:8) or would you say, "Here am I Lord, look at me."
Mother Teresa once said: "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier."
And former U.S. President Calvin Coolidge said: "No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” - 1 Peter 4:10
