• Education: Sajeev had his schooling in Kerala, his home state. After graduating in Physics, he joined the Diocesan Seminary. After doing BPh at St Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore, he joined the Society of Jesus. He did an MPh from Sacred Heart College, Chennai and BTh from Vidya Jyoti College, Delhi. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Chicago.
• Experience: Sajeev worked in the Catholic Weekly "Sathyadeepam" as a journalist trainee. He has worked in the editorial teams of several journals. He also edited "Calcutta Jesuits and Friends", a journal that comes comes three times a year. Sajeev worked as a teacher, a formator and retreat director for several years. He currently works as an intern counselor at Claret Center, Chicago.
• Family: Sajeev Painunkal, SJ is from Kerala, the south most state of India, but has chosen to work in West Bengal. He is a priest belonging to the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Order). He works as the Socius to the Master of Novices, apart from directing retreats etc. He is also a visiting Professor at the Philosophy faculty of Morning Star College, Barrackpore.
• Books that have had an impact: One of the books that really touched me is "Mr God, this is Anna", written by Fynn. It makes me believe that the best things in life, spirituality included, are simple.
